Social Networking, sweety darhling!

As discussed at the WeCre8 meeting last night, social networking websites can be a great tool to become known and get jobs. Here is a list of the few I have heard about:
http://www.myspace.com/, http://www.facebook.com/, http://www.bebo.com/, http://www.habbo.com/, http://www.flickr.com/, http://www.gather.com/, http://www.linkedin.com/, http://www.ryze.com/, http://www.plaxo.com/, http://www.digg.com/, http://www.youtube.com/, http://twitter.com/.
They all target different areas - social, business, images, teenagers, and so on.
They are useful for building your brand, attracting new customers by growing your network, gaining feedback on your product, entering forums and many other as yet-to-be-discovered useful things.
Another newsworthy item on this topic is that Visa recently launched the Visa Business Network on Facebook. It’s designed to help small business owners attract new business by connecting with the thousands of businesses on Facebook. Members can share information about businesses they like, and market their own business by advertising it to other Facebook users.
And finally, the freelancers website I was talking about is http://www.thefreelancefactory.com.au/.
Best of luck! Felicity.
